About Us

Harmony Homes’ motto is “Welcome Home”.

At Harmony Homes, we seek to create a unique senior living experience that meets the individual needs of the residents we serve. Harmony Homes was formed as a response to the large-scale, nursing homes to provide a warm, caring and nurturing alternative for senior men and women who want to continue to live in a home environment; enjoying a family atmosphere and intimate setting of community based residential senior assisted living. Your senior family members deserve personalized and nourishing care in a healthy environment.

Our St. Louis-based company, management and advisory team is made up of seasoned professionals and experts whose backgrounds and experience make them ideally suited to their respective roles. Take a moment and “meet” them below.

With a career in real estate investment and development, Bob has helped countless families transition their loved ones out of their homes when they could no longer care for themselves. When he learned about the Residential Senior Living model, he was confident this approach could benefit the seniors and their families in our community.

Bob’s passion lies in real estate and serving people.  Boutique senior living provides the opportunity for him to pursue both of those passions.  Growing up in the business, Bob has been in and around retail and wholesale real estate since his teen years.  His parents were seasoned real estate investors and owners of multiple retail real estate franchises.

Bob earned his real estate license in 1990 as a way to finance his undergraduate degree while at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.  Upon graduating with a BSBA in Finance and Real Estate, Bob entered the corporate world and climbed the ladder to become the National Sales Manager for a $5 billion-dollar oil retailer with full responsibility for the Central and Western US sales operations.  During this time, Bob began building his investment real estate portfolio.

In 2002, Bob and his wife Mary launched the ‘We Buy Ugly Houses’ brand into the Saint Louis market.  Bob’s HomeVestors office was consistently ranked in the Top 5 performance metrics across the franchise system (with more than 1000 franchises currently), was the winner of the 1st annual Founders Award, and was also recognized as a Legacy Franchisee.

Today, Bob and his team have rebranded their investment business and remain focused on the acquisition of distressed real estate across a variety of asset classes.  Bob and his team acquire and renovate or build properties into a number of exit strategies.  In 2010, Bob launched a turnkey company focused on helping passive investors who want to add real estate backed assets into their investment portfolios.  In that capacity, Bob and his team now sell performing turnkey properties that have been renovated, tenanted and warranted to passive investors around the globe.  In all, Bob and his team have completed in the ‘neighborhood’ of 1000 successful transactions to date.

Mary holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis with an emphasis in gerontology and health. She earned her undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Mary has worked in social work and gerontology in a variety of settings including nursing home environments, hospitals in the BJC network as well as out-patient medical clinics. Mary also has experience on the academic side as a instructor of sociology and social work at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO.

In addition to Mary’s social work and gerontology experience, she also holds her Missouri real estate license and has partnered with her husband Bob on their multiple real estate investment ventures over the last 20+ years.
